New Britax HighpointTM Belt-Positioning Booster Offers Big Safety for Big Kids
New booster brings safety, style, comfort and convenience to carpool lines from coast-to-coastApril 09, 2018
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FORT MILL, S.C. – April 9, 2018: Britax Child Safety, Inc., U.S. manufacturer of car seats and a leader in child passenger safety technology, introduces the HighpointTM Belt-Positioning Booster for big kids, which offers unique safety features that Britax is known for, while also proving stylish, comfortable and convenient to use.
“They’re only little for a short time,” says Joyce Kara, Britax Director of Product Marketing. “When they outgrow their forward-facing harnessed seat, we felt it was important to provide caregivers an option that helps keep their big kids protected on the road, while also being functional and looking great in the carpool line,” she continues.
The Highpoint Booster’s big safety for big kids comes in the form of the three layers of side impact protection including a deep, foam-lined shell, head restraint and external impact cushions for full head, torso, and pelvic side impact protection. The SecureGuard™ Belt-Positioning Clip secures and properly positions the vehicle lap belt, which helps prevent children from sliding under the lap-belt during impact. The 10-position quick-adjust headrest helps ensure a proper fit for children as they grow while the color-coded Belt Guides help improve seatbelt positioning. An additional safety feature that benefits other passengers when the child isn’t sitting in the seat, are the flexible Push-Button lower connectors which help keep the seat secure during a crash and prevent it from becoming a projectile.
In addition to safety, the Highpoint Belt-Positioning Booster is also stylish and functional; which parents appreciate and children in the carpool line will approve of. The seats come in soft knit fabrics in premium designs and colors that mimic the trend and comfort of athleisure lounge wear. The padded covers will keep kids comfortable on long car rides and can be removed for easy cleaning. The seats also feature two dishwasher safe, removable cup holders. In addition, these seats were designed with a narrow width that accommodates 3-across seating capacity in most SUV’s and sedans, which is a rare option on the market. Perfect for the carpool line!
The Britax Highpoint Belt-Positioning Booster ($149.99) is designed, engineered and tested in the US with global components at the Britax Americas Headquarters in Fort Mill, S.C. The seats are now available in Mulberry fashion on Amazon.com and in Asher and Seaglass fashions online and at U.S. specialty and mass retailers.
Fitting children from 40-120 pounds and 38-63 inches in the forward-facing position, Britax advises Highpoint Belt-Positioning Booster owners follow the American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommendations that children remain in a five-point harness system for as long as possible until they reach the maximum weight or height for their car seat.
