A Quick-Adjust Harness allows you to easily move the harness of your car seat upward for a comfortable and secure fit as your child grows.
On most Britax products, you can find the Quick-Adjust Harness height adjuster on the front of the seat at the top of the head rest. On some older model seats, the adjuster may be located on the back of the seat.
A Quick-Adjust Harness allows for a more accurate harness fit for your child. To best protect your child during a crash, it’s best for the harness straps to be as close to your child’s shoulder level as possible. This will minimize your child’s movement, which will also minimize the potential for injury.
A second benefit of a Quick-Adjust Harness is that it is easy to use. In order to adjust the harness strap height with a standard harness system, you would have to detach the straps from the metal yoke on the back of the seat, re-thread the straps through a new slot in the car seat shell, and then reattach them to the metal yoke. Not only, does this manual adjustment increase the chances of the harness straps being installed correctly, but it also requires you to uninstall the seat from your vehicle before you can make an adjustment.
To adjust the harness height on a car seat featuring a Quick-Adjust Harness, simply squeeze the harness height adjuster and slide up or down to the desired position.
