If the vehicle’s head restraint prevents the Galaxy360 headrest from moving high enough or fitting properly, do not force the car seat headrest past it. Instead, raise, remove, or adjust the vehicle’s head restraint if possible. If it can’t be removed, move the car seat to a more upright position or choose a different seating location.

The base of the Galaxy360 must rest flat and level on the vehicle seat, with no side overhang. Up to 3 inches (7.6 cm) of the base may hang over the front edge of the vehicle seat in either rear-facing or forward-facing mode. If more than 3 inches hangs over, adjust the recline or choose a different seating position to ensure the base sits flat and parallel to the vehicle seat.

No. When your child is ready for forward-facing in the Galaxy360, simply rotate the seat into the new position—no need to uninstall and reinstall the seat.

After the seat belt installation is achieved following applicable instructions and warnings, the locking retractor can be switched to the automatic locking mode if desired. DO NOT pull on the shoulder belt to get the next click out of the retractor. If you locked the retractor or switched it to automatic locking mode during installation, Britax recommends you follow the below steps when uninstalling/removing the car seat from the vehicle:
- Hold the shoulder belt with one hand so that the retractor does not start taking up the seat belt webbing;
- Unbuckle the vehicle seat belt;
- Open ClickTight or StayTight;
- Remove the vehicle seat belt completely from the car seat belt path; and
- Release the vehicle shoulder belt.

No. Britax car seats should be installed using only one installation method – either the vehicle’s seat belt and car seat tether (if anchor is available) or lower anchors. Parents should always refer to the car seat user guide with any questions.

Both LATCH and the vehicle seat belt are safe installation methods when used correctly and independently of one another. The best method is the one that provides a secure and proper fit in your vehicle. No, current Britax car seats are not compatible with inflatable seat belts. If your vehicle is equipped with inflatable seat belts, we recommend using the LATCH system (within the weight limits) or installing the car seat in a position that does not have an inflatable seat belt. Always refer to your car seat manual for the most accurate guidance.
The Ford Motor Company (Ford and Lincoln vehicles) Inflatable seat belt system is approved for use, in vehicles certified for the United States and Canada, with the following BRITAX models:
- Pioneer; and
- Frontier CLICKTIGHT; and
- Pinnacle CLICKTIGHT
Any models not expressly listed above are not approved for use with the Ford Inflatable seat belt system or any other inflatable seat belt system. Britax strongly recommends (in Canada it’s required) that the top tether be used when installing the child seat forward-facing. Using the tether will improve the stability of the car seat and reduce the risk of injury. Do not use the tether with rear-facing installations. Always refer to your vehicle owner’s manual for proper connection and weight limits.

No, the top tether is not designed to be used with rear-facing car seat installations. The top tether is specifically designed for use in forward-facing harness mode to enhance safety.

When the top tether is not in use, store the excess webbing in the attached elastic strap or the tether storage compartment located on the back of some of the Britax car seats. This helps ensure the tether is safely out of the way and ready for use when needed.

The allowable overhang for Britax car seat bases can vary depending on the specific model. Generally, the car seat base may overhang the front edge of the vehicle seat by a certain amount, as specified in the user guide for each model. It’s essential to consult the user guide for your Britax car seat to determine the correct overhang allowance.

Ensuring that the Britax Poplar and Poplar S car seats are correctly installed is crucial for your child's safety. The black positioning runners on the bottom of the car seat's base must rest entirely flat on your vehicle's seat, however the space beyond the runners’ outside edges is permitted to overhang the vehicle seat edge. You are also permitted to have up to 3 inches (7.5 cm) of the base extending beyond the front edge of your vehicle's seat in either rear-facing or forward-facing modes, as illustrated in our user guide. If the shape of your vehicle's seat prevents the base from making adequate contact, adjusting the car seat to a more upright recline angle may be necessary to help ensure proper installation.
Remember: It is essential that the black base positioning runners on the bottom of the car seat's base not only sit flat on the vehicle's seat but also remain parallel to it. This configuration is crucial to help ensure the car seat performs as intended in the event of a collision.
