The Britax ClickTight Installation System uses the vehicle's seat belt to safely secure car seats instead of relying on the LATCH system (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children). This advanced technology offers unparalleled ease-of-use, allowing parents to install a car seat in just three simple steps.

As will be explained at the upcoming Kidz in Motion (KIM) Conference, oftentimes parents secure their car seats using lower anchors through the LATCH system and don't realize that the vehicle anchors have weight limits. In fact, 46 percent of car seats are incorrectly secured by way of lower anchor installation. Once weight limitations are exceeded, the car seat must be installed using the vehicle seat belt system instead. With ClickTight technology, parents need not worry about weight limitations because throughout the life of the seat, it is always tightly secured when in harness mode.

"At the end of the day, safety is the top priority for all parents and caregivers when using car seats and they should feel confident about the installation process each and every time," said Sarah Tilton, Britax child passenger safety advocate. "The innovative technology behind the ClickTight Installation System gives parents peace of mind; with one 'click' they know their child's seat is secured."

Tilton and Curtis Strong, Director of New Product Development at Britax, will be presenting ClickTight at the 2013 Kidz in Motion Conference and explaining its many benefits, including a thorough comparison to the LATCH system. Running Aug. 26-29 in Albuquerque, N.M., the conference aims to further educate professionals who play a part in child passenger safety, including those in law enforcement, health care, vehicle manufacturing and beyond.

The ClickTight Installation System can be found in the Britax Frontier 90 and Pinnacle 90 harness-2-booster seats.
