Former Whirlpool executive, Jay Zhao, tasked with driving best-in-class safety innovations and new product pipeline

FORT MILL, S.C. – July 20, 2017: As part of its continued commitment to child passenger safety, Britax Child Safety, Inc.today announced the appointment of Jay Zhao as the company’s new Vice President of Product Development and Engineering. Zhao, a 14-year Whirlpool veteran, comes to Britax with more than 200 products developed under his name and a dedicated focus on advanced engineering to develop new product innovations.

Zhao brings a dedicated philosophy centered on Advanced Product Quality Planning and an emphasis on computer aided engineering simulation in conceptualizing, engineering and testing products. The goal: to ensure superior quality and safety.

Additionally, Zhao will lead an advanced engineering team that will work side by side with Britax’s product marketing team. This insight-driven approach aligns product innovations with consumer demand – delivering on what consumers want most.
