The carry handle is approved (in the US) to be in any locked position (with or without the base) in the vehicle. For additional stability, Britax recommends that the ReboundReduce carry handle be in the upright position (Position 1) to help reduce the rebound of the child restraint in car accidents. It is required for the carry handle on Canadian models to be in the upright position (Position 1) for use in a vehicle. Always use the upright position (position 1) to carry.

Can crotch rolls and receiving blankets be used with Britax car seats? If the positioning insert provided with the BRITAX car seat does not position the child as needed, it is acceptable to place a rolled receiving blanket on each side of the child for lateral support – once the child is properly secured within the harness as instructed in the user guide. The rolled receiving blankets should not be placed between the child and the harness.
It is not acceptable to use a crotch roll with any BRITAX car seat to position a child.

The best child seat is one that fits your child, fits in your vehicle, and is easy for you to use each and every time. You will notice that some child seats are easier to use than others, while some will not fit into certain vehicles, and some of each type are less suited for the child's size and development.
Read all product labels and verify that the specifications of the child seat meet your current needs.
