Belt-Positioning Boosters FAQs

• Can I use the UpNGo Click/UpNGo backless booster in any seating position?

  The booster must be installed in a forward-facing vehicle seat with both a head restraint and a lap-and-shoulder belt. Side- or rear-facing vehicle seats are not permitted.

• Are the rigid lower connectors on the UpNGo Click required for use?

  No. The rigid LATCH connectors are not required for installation and are therefore optional for use. They help prevent the seat from becoming a projectile when it is not in use.

• Is the shoulder belt guide required for the UpNGo Click/UpNGo backless booster?

  The shoulder belt guide is only required if the vehicle seat belt does not lay flat across the center of the child’s shoulder and chest. It helps to achieve proper belt positioning for a safe and secure fit. (See page 15 of the user guide for reference.)

• Are the UpNGo Click and UpNGo backless boosters certified for aircraft use?

  No, they are not certified for use on airplanes because they require a lap-and-shoulder belt.

• What is the expiration time frame on the UpNGo Click and UpNGo backless boosters?

  The UpNGo Click and UpNGo backless boosters expire 10 years from the date of manufacture, which is printed on the label on the bottom of the seat.

• What is the difference between the UpNGo™ Click and UpNGo™ backless boosters?

  The UpNGo (non-Click) offers the same slim and portable design along with the same comfort and safety features, minus the LATCH system, for those seeking a more minimal design or a lighter option.
