• Does the Nanotex (StayClean) fabric keep my child cool and dry?

  The Nanotex (StayClean) fabric is moisture-resistant, making it easy to wipe away spills. The main benefit is to prevent stains from setting into the seat.

• Does the Nanotex (StayClean) stain resistance fabric protection contain or emit harmful substances?

  The Nanotex (StayClean) stain resistance fabric protection does not contain or emit harmful substances, meaning it is free of heavy metals, phenols, phthalates, odor and skin sensitizers, PFOS and PFOA.

• Are the Nanotex (StayClean) car seat fabrics Greenguard Gold certified?

  No, the Nanotex (StayClean) car seat fabrics are not Greenguard Gold certified, due to the fact they must meet the FMVSS 302 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for Flammability of Interior Materials) by adding flame retardants.

• Is Nanotex (StayClean) just on the fabric of the car seat, or is it also on the harness?

  The Nanotex (StayClean) fabric is only available on the fabrics used with Britax products stating Nanotex (StayClean) in their name.

• What is a recommended cleaning solution for Nanotex (StayClean) fabrics?

  ½ Tsp mild detergent, such as Dreft®, to 1 cup of water.

• Are Nanotex (StayClean) fabrics machine washable?

  Britax recommends hand washing and air drying your Nanotex (StayClean) cover.

• What is Nanotechnology?

  Nanotechnology changes the fabric fiber on a molecular level, becoming a part of the fiber that enables the textile to permanently resist spills and stains. Nanotex changes the surface energy of the fabric, making it resistant. The lower the surface energy, the more resistant the textile is.
